I blog the conference for them at Taking Stock of the AASA Conference each year, and this year I will attend their author's breakfast due to my book about blogging. It's also a good chance to network and learn from other people. I go to several school improvement conferences every year and always enjoy them. My husband attended conferences for librarians (ALA), tranportation (ASHTO), and community groups. There are lots of tech conferences that aren't geared towards educators.
