I attend the American Association of School Administrators conference every year. I blog the conference for them at Taking Stock of the AASA Conference each year, and this year I will attend their author's breakfast due to my book about blogging.

It's also a good chance to network and learn from other people.

I go to several school improvement conferences every year and always enjoy them.

There are tons of non-tech conferences for educators, and lots of non-educator conferences out there. My husband attended conferences for librarians (ALA), tranportation (ASHTO), and community groups. There are lots of tech conferences that aren't geared towards educators. Really, it's a big world out there.
